Estrada do Guincho (EN247), Forte da Crismina, Cascais · An exterior stop at a ruin, with no guarantee of entry or step-free access. Respect barriers and choose another stop in bad weather.
Built in 1762 under the Count of Lippe during the Seven Years’ War, the battery worked with nearby defences to protect beaches. It included a powder magazine and quarters. It deteriorated after decommissioning; today it is a defensive ruin, not an equipped museum.
