01 / How this building reached the presentFACTS BEFORE INTERPRETATION
From private house to accessible memory
Casa da Prelada and its gardens in Ramalde form part of an estate designed by Nicolau Nasoni. In 1903, the last Noronha e Menezes owner donated it to Misericórdia do Porto.
The restored house opened as a cultural venue in 2013, housing a historical archive and library. People consulting its records continue to change the house’s relationship with the city.
Compare gateway, garden and present entrance. Check appointment and use arrangements before consulting the archive.
